Fashion and design are some of our favorite subjects to shoot at Highline Studios. When one of our favorite Los Angeles designers needed a brand video to introduce his menswear line for their new website, we headed downtown for a quick, indie, run and gun style shoot.
Bill Beasley is pretty much the embodiment of the cool California surfer, but with an incredible sense of style that originates with more traditional men’s tailoring. These two opposing aesthetics are merged seamlessly in his line with partner William Beranek: A Vested Interest.
Using rich fabrics from Italy and the UK, including some incredible vintage ties, the collection began with a tailored men’s vest (hence the pun-intended name) and has since expanded to include men’s scarves, pants, shirts and jackets.
Ties made from vintage fabric[/caption]Each piece features unique and unexpected details such as lining, hanger loops, pocket squares and trim. The entire collection is designed and handcrafted in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.
The studio location and their home grown approach to the business lent itself perfectly to an unscripted, documentary style approach to storytelling, supplemented with stunning close-ups of the clothing and its construction. We paired it up with a custom track from one of our talented musician sources and voila
